En Arte en Foco lo primero que hice fue un curso corto avanzado de fotografía. Ahí ya me empecé a enamorar de la escuela y justo estaba en un momento en el que quería llevar la fotografía a algo más profesional, me empecé a dar cuenta que quería dedicarme a eso. Así fue como decidí hacer la Diplomatura en Fotografía ahí. También pasé por otros cursos, como Creadores de Imágenes Digitales y el Curso de Especialización, que es como el segundo año de la Diplomatura.
¿Qué estudiaste en Arte En Foco?
¿Te acordás de tu primer día en la escuela?
Obvio que sí! Yo venía de otra carrera universitaria que estaba terminando, y el día que me voy a anotar a la carrera en Arte En Foco me atiende Andrea, y me dijo: ¿vos sabés que esto es en serio no? Tiene mucha carga horaria, tareas y requiere un compromiso. Y si, me asusté un poco pero a la vez me motivó muchísimo. Sabía que iba a poner todas mis ganas y mi energía en aprovechar todo lo que la escuela nos iba a dar.
¿Cómo crees que hoy en día haber hecho la carrera influye en tu vida?
Me cambió la vida por completo, y sin exagerar. La fotografía me mostró una nueva forma de ver la vida, y las personas que conocí en Arte En Foco una nueva forma de entender esa fotografía. Todo lo que sé hoy, nació ahí, y siempre voy a estar muy agradecida a todos los profes que nos transmitieron su pasión por este arte. Creo que lo más importante siempre fue eso, mantener la pasión, mantener el entusiasmo y tratar de entender a la profesión desde una perspectiva que sobrepasa lo superficial. Luego de terminar la carrera tuve la oportunidad de dar clases allí en Arte En Foco, y siempre intentaba transmitir aunque sea un poquito de lo que nuestros profes nos transmitieron a nosotros. Y más allá de que hoy ya no estoy en Argentina, la escuela siempre va a ser el lugar donde todo se empezó a gestar.
¿Por qué te fuiste de Argentina?
En mi caso, ya había viajado varias veces y cada vez volvía con más curiosidad. Siempre me movieron las ganas de seguir conociendo más mundo, más culturas, más formas de vivir y más personas. Esta última vez, vine a España a hacer un Máster en Fotografía Artística y Documental en una universidad que ya venía siguiendo hacía muchos años.
¿Qué estás haciendo ahora en España?
Actualmente trabajo para una marca de moda de lujo de España en el área de Post Producción, coordinando el retoque de las imágenes. Hoy Photoshop es mi herramienta principal de trabajo, y todavía me acuerdo de la primera vez que Adri nos estaba enseñando a usarlo, que quería salir corriendo porque no entendía nada.
¿Y seguís haciendo fotos?
Claro que sí! Siempre, es casi una necesidad. Al mismo tiempo que trabajo en la empresa, hago sesiones de fotos en proyectos artísticos de investigación que me gusta emprender, y también con distintas marcas y distintos equipos. Hace poco, hicimos una sesión súper creativa con unas estilistas geniales y talentosas que conocí haciendo fotos para una influencer, y estas fotografías nos las terminaron publicando en una revista importante de acá, Neo2 Magazine.
¿Cómo llegaron a publicarse esas fotos?
Creo que al final tiene que ver con lo que apenas empezamos a estudiar fotografía nos decían, tener ganas y desearlo realmente. Ir en busca de, no rendirse ni tirar la toalla cuando hay muchos no. Porque los va a haber, puedo afirmarlo. Después, es hacer amigos, contactos, equipos de trabajo, intercambiar con otros artistas con los que poder expandir esa creatividad.
¿Crees que estás donde querías estar?
Uf, yo creo que aún me falta muchísimo camino. Por aprender y por recorrer. Siento que cada día mi trabajo se alinea un poco más a quien quiero ser, pero que también aún le falta muchísimo por madurar, por explorar, por crecer. Y me atrevo a decir que es una búsqueda constante, que lo importante es nunca dejar de hacer.
